In the Deep

“We are like islands in the sea, separate on the surface but connected in the deep.” — William James

In yoga, everyone has their own mat. Their own body. Their own breath. Their own reasons for being there. Even when you’re doing the exact same 108 Sun Salutations together, the experience is deeply individual.

But underneath the individual experience is something shared. We witness each other — in the effort, the struggle, the joy, the showing up again and again. We move and breathe alongside one another, each on our own path, but never alone in it. That is where connection grows.
