When did you start your yoga journey?
I took a yoga class as an elective in college, but let’s just say I was not yet ready for the world of yoga. It wasn’t until 2018 when I truly connected, and found value in the practice. 2021 was when I started unlimited memberships/committed practice.
What do you enjoy the most about your practice?
My practice gives me balance and strength, physically and emotionally. It is a GIFT. Not only does it improve my focus/attention and mood, but it provides a space for deeper connection and it is a constant platform for growth.
What’s your favorite thing about 108 Yoga?
I love everything about 108, the community, the environment, the diversity of classes, Tracy & her family. It feels so good to be in that space sharing a beautiful practice with beautiful people. I walk away from every class feeling fulfilled.
What do you like to do when you’re not at yoga?
I am a very active person! I enjoy mountain biking, rock climbing, rafting, camping, hiking, crafting, baking healthy sweets (!), and spending time with my community, my family, and my fur babies. When I am not playing, I work as a speech language pathologist. I really love my profession.
Whats your walkout song?
In honor of Alabama Shakes coming to Richmond next month: Future People, Alabama Shakes.
One word to describe you?
Passionate
What is your favorite class? And why?
That is a difficult question to answer! Each class is perfect for that specific day, at that specific time. For example, Flow is the perfect Saturday morning class. The class I look forward to the most would be Work. It is exactly how I want to start my week, building strength and “projecting.” Work provides space and time to work on postures and learn from others.
What’s something most people don’t know about you?
I have my mom’s face tattooed on my calf. Not because she has passed away, but because she is an angel on earth and I am obsessed with her.
