When did you start your yoga journey?
About 6-7 months ago.
What do you enjoy the most about your practice?
I’ve come to appreciate how expansive yoga is! What initially began as a complement to other forms of body work, gradually evolved into a cornerstone of the mental and emotional work I didn’t even realize I needed. I love that the practice meets me where I am, while challenging me to grow. The movements, rhythm of breath, and opportunity to quiet the mind is soooo grounding. Yoga has also helped me appreciate the positives of duality; effort and ease, discipline and surrender. What I enjoy most is that the benefits don’t end when I leave the studio! They show up in how I navigate life and create space for myself and others.
What’s your favorite thing about 108 Yoga?
The community; we’re all unique and different, yet there’s a shared energy that connects us in a way that’s indescribable. What Tracy and the family have cultivated is more than a space to practice yoga; it’s an environment that gives you a sense of connection, belonging, peace, and hope. There’s something special about being able to show up exactly as you are and feeling like you’re part of something bigger than yourself.
What do you like to do when you’re not at yoga?
I’m usually finding ways to stay active, curious, and connected. I love exploring the outdoors with my pup, spending time with family, and watching sports. I enjoy learning new things, which has lead me to my latest adventure: learning how to DJ.
Whats your walkout song?
"Lose Yourself” -Eminem.
One word to describe you?
Intentional.
What is your favorite class? And why?
Depth! I enjoy the balanced flow. It’s a reminder that progress doesn’t require moving faster or pushing harder. Sometimes growth looks like slowing down, finding your breath, and being more intentional with your energy. The class honors stillness and forward movement, which is another reminder of the balance I’m continually working to create in my life.
What’s something most people don’t know about you?
I spent a significant part of my youth pursuing a rap career! I’m talking late nights in the studio, writing lyrics (yes! I wrote my own ish! Haha), talent shows, and local performances. We even had an intro played on the radio once!
